‘Pick-your-own’ organic lemon special at the Szőrös and Kisjuhász Gardening, combined with lunch at the Tanyacsarda

13-14.11.2026 (Friday-Saturday)

Two experiences, in one place – in Lajosmizse!
The lemon harvest is underway in Lajosmizse! Registration for the ‘Pick Your Own’ event opened on 23 October on the magyarcitrom.com website under the ‘I’d like to pick’ section.

The first ‘Pick Your Own Lemons’ weekend will take place on 13–14 November and will run right through to Christmas – following last year’s success! The events will go ahead whatever the weather, as the plants are under polytunnels.

Szőrös and Kisjuhász Gardening – pick-your-own lemons promotion (price: 3,500 HUF/kg; registration required, specifying the exact quantity: magyarcitrom.com)
Öreg (Old) Tanyacsárda – a delicious lunch featuring the best local flavours

Lemon picking times:
Friday 10:00–15:30
Saturday 8:00–15:30

Admission: free, but registration is required to take part in the picking! Lemons can only be purchased with cash. Everyone must bring their own basket or box and sharp scissors. Dogs are allowed in the gardening on a lead.

Tip: think in advance about how many lemons you’d like – perhaps for a neighbour or as a gift – as there will only be a limited quantity left to pick on the day! Choose your clothing carefully, as the plants and fruit are dusty and dirty, and the ground may be muddy and slippery! If you’re using GPS, enter ‘Szőrös és Kisjuhász Kertészet’ to find your way there; using the address alone will lead you astray.

You can also register for picked lemons here and add a note specifying which grade you would like. The picked fruit can be collected from the garden during opening hours on Friday and Saturday.
There are two sizes:
Grade I: over 5.5 cm in diameter – 4,500 HUF/kg
Grade II: 4–5.5 cm in diameter – 4,000 HUF/kg.

Until registration is full, it will not be possible to pick or purchase the fruit.
These prices will also apply to parcel deliveries. Parcels can be ordered on 20 November via the magyarcitrom.com website; until then, this is not possible as the lemons are not yet ripe.

Come and enjoy the dual experience of nature and gastronomy – all in one place, in Lajosmizse!
