Valentine’s Day at the Old Tanyacsarda
From year to year we are waiting for couples (or families), who would like to spent a pleasant evening in the Old Tanyacsárda. Gala place will be laid at table, our master chefs provide a special menu. The romantic songs and intimate atmosphere will be provided by guitarist Zsolt Németh from 6.00pm - 9.00pm.

A typical festive occasion of spring is Easter, that has very interesting ceremonies, for example, the consecration of ham, lamb and egg. A lot of traditions and believes are linked with Easter, that are introduced to the guests: sprinkling with water and perfume, gifts for the children, egg-painting.

Knuckle is one of the most delicious part of the pig. From this we can cook bean-goulash, but we can bake it also in the oven, a’la bakeress (together with onion and potato). If you like none of these, choose from the specialities of veal or lamb. Come to visit us!

We cut out the decorated May-pole with the help of our guests and we elect the king and the queen of Whitsun. We welcome our guests with a horse-show and a riding possibility in horse-drawn carriages in the Puszta.

Grape harvest at the New Tanyacsarda
We try to represent a real grape harvest with grapes, fruits, barrels and grape-pressers. We present the action of the must-making (grinding and pressing of the grape). The guests are involved in the process of the wine-making then everybody can try the fresh made must. The guests can take part in carriage riding and horse show.

There is a phrase in Hungary: “If you don’t eat goose on Martin’s Day, you will starve all the year round.” These days we offer dishes made of goose to our guests. Eating of goose is a revolving tradition, and we try to do our best that this could survive.

In the Hungarian villages pigs are killed traditionally from Andrew’s Day. As a recall of this tradition a lot of Hungarian people hold a pig-killing on Andrew’s Day.

Santa Claus is awaited by children with a great excitement year by year. In exchange for beautiful poems he gives packages full of sweets and chocolate to our little guests.
However, to delight our adult guests, they can choose from our most successful dishes from past gastronomic events throughout the year.
